Well, hello again readers!

Dania and Nadya's task this time was to imagine ourselves as August and make a poem based on her thoughts and actions.

Basically, this poem, divided into three stanzas tells randomly of August's life in the novel.

So here goes nothing :)

I AM POEM

I am mighty and humble

I wonder how bees live

I hear sometimes, what people can't hear

I see the spirit of Mary everywhere

I want to stay a beekeeper for life

I am mighty and humble

I pretend not to know who Lily is

I feel happy when people find comfort in their lives

I touch their thoughts and hearts

I worry about Lily's future

I cry every time May goes to her Wailing Wall

I am mighty and humble

I understand that to get, you must give

I say bees have a secret life

I dream of a world without discrimination and segregation

I try to fight for equality

I hope that Lily could stay with us

I am mighty and humble
